Buttercup
SYMBOLISM. The Moroccan sultan Mohamed IV had a passionate love for buttercups and collected them in his palace garden. On sunny days the cup-shaped flowers reflected sun rays immersing the palace garden in a golden glow. This is how the buttercup came to symbolise heavenly glow and enlightened charm.
COLOUR EFFECT. My camera struggles to capture the colour spectacle of a meadow filled with bright yellow buttercups. The flower has various yellow tones: Cadmium Yellow Middle Dark, French Yellow and the green Neon Lime that balances the warm yellows. The buttercup’s shiny, rich tones create a cheerful, exciting, warm feeling.
