Larkspur Summer Skies
CULTURE. Blue was a rare colour before the invention of chemical dyes. Natural pigments like lapis lazuli, indigo and turquoise were very expensive and only used for the painterly depiction of kings, queens and saints. This is why Larkspur, with its subtle nuances of blue, became a symbol of holiness.
COLOUR EFFECT. The Larkspur’s colours are so intense they almost look electric. Skyblue is very pure and bright, Apple Green is reminiscent of a young beech leaf in spring, and the muted Green Grey lends coherence to the whole. The colour combination creates a striking, dynamic harmony: it’s fresh, young and energetic.
