Danish Flag Poppy
CULTURE. Until the 19th century, the narcotic qualities of poppies made them a popular folk medicine. Flowers were put under children’s pillows to help them sleep. Because of this the poppy symbolises sleep, ease and dreams.
COLOUR EFFECT. The Danish Flag’s petal consists of two parts: reds at the top and yellows below. Vermilion appears to glow and makes Carmine Purple appear brownish. Cold Pink is the flower’s coolest tone and acts as a transitional colour between the reds and yellows, generating a very dynamic colour harmony.
