Tulip Kuschkensis
CULTURE. Persian poet Bābur (1483 - 1530) often described tulips in his work including the opening and closing of the red tulip at sunset. Bābur’s writings helped establish the tulip’s erotic symbolism.
COLOUR EFFECT. Tulip Kuschkensis is one of the first flowers of spring. Scarlet Lake’s colours pop, making it stand out among the bare branches and faded winter grass. Viewed from above a colour spectacle unfolds: the velvety Black flower heart is outlined with Warm Yellow that blends into Medium Red Ochre, resulting in a highly sophisticated colour combination.
